Colorectal cancer is the third most diagnosed cancer and third leading cause of cancer death in the United States. However, over the past 10 years, death rates from colon cancer have decreased in large part due to early detection and the removal of precancerous polyps.
To raise awareness about colon cancer and the importance of early detection through screening, ValleyCare is sponsoring its second annual Colon Cancer Walk. The walk begins and ends at LifeStyleRx. All proceeds will benefit colorectal education in the Tri-Valley. For more information, please call (925) 373-4560.
